Tell us about your experience at Ladies of Lineage!
A bit about the wedding: it was mid-July in Asheville, NC at Biltmore Forest Country Club. The whole day leaned into yellow—bridesmaid dresses, flowers, and details—and my Sassi Holford gown was the perfect fit. I kept telling people I wasn’t connecting with anything until Elizabeth pulled the Sassi Holford gown. That was the moment it all clicked.

When my husband and I pictured our wedding day, we wanted it to be fun, bright, and happy — a celebration that truly felt like sunshine. Choosing Biltmore Forest Country Club was an easy decision; my sister and brother-in-law, who are truly our two best friends, were married there, so it already held so many cherished memories. Touring it over the summer, we knew it was perfect — lush, green, and brimming with the kind of charm that made us feel instantly at home. My lifelong love of yellow (my childhood bedroom was painted bright yellow with sunflowers) inspired our cheerful palette, and our golden retriever Butler made his mark through custom matchboxes, bar signs, and other little details. As a former UNC Chapel Hill dance team member, I convinced my husband to learn a choreographed first dance with me, and practicing together was one of the most fun parts of planning. And in the most perfect nod to our theme, even though rain was in the forecast, the sun peeked through the tent just as we reached the altar. It was a moment that perfectly captured the joy and warmth we wanted our day to hold. We ended the day driving away in my grandpa’s 1960s convertible Mustang — a family treasure that made the send-off feel really special.
