Tell us about your experience at Ladies of Lineage!

My first appointment was with Alex at Ladies of Lineage. I told her I wanted a sleek dress with no lace, no train, and no beading. We pulled a few dresses- some that fit the description, others that didn’t- and I loved every single dress I tried on! When I tried on “the one,” I knew it because I just felt so comfortable. It had everything I said I didn’t want! I bought it the same day. I felt so chic on my wedding day and still consider wearing it around the house some days (if it wasn’t preserved). When Alex asked me how I wanted to feel on my wedding day- I said confident, comfortable and elegant and I absolutely did. 

Tell us about your wedding!

My wedding weekend was perfect! My husband and I got married in Wilmington- where we originally met at UNCW. We kept the weekend intimate with 100 guests. There was rain on the forecast basically all day and all weekend- but I told my wedding planner to do what she needed to do and to not even tell me. It technically rained on our wedding day, but I had so much fun with my bridesmaids and family getting ready that I truly wasn’t stressed. My husband and I did our first look before the wedding and read our own vowels to each other- we knew we could not do this without crying in front of a crowd. We are so happy we had that special moment together. We got married under a tent (I call it the ugly pole tent, but it’s better it was there) and celebrated after with cocktails, dinner and dancing. The band was amazing and literally everyone was on the dance floor! I surprised my husband, and maybe everyone, with my wedding dress choice. He absolutely loved it though! He just thought I would have been more simple, like what I originally asked for. My dress was so amazing I of course kept it on all night! We had too much fun and really enjoyed the entire day. PS the sun came out for the ceremony!
