Tell us about your experience at Ladies of Lineage!

Ladies of Lineage is an absolute dream! I had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth - she thoughtfully curated a gown selection for me and was mindful of my wishes (design and financial). An aspect of the Ladies of Lineage experience that has stuck with me is the importance placed on feeling confident and beautiful in who you are in this season and not creating an environment that feeds into the pressuring side of bridal culture to tweak every little thing about yourself for "the big day". The meaningful messages placed around the studio are intentional and made an impact on my dress shopping experience. The experience at Ladies of Lineage is so elevated; my Mom, sister, and Grandmother joined me for my appointment and we were all blown away by the level of care and service each team member prioritized. Another highlight of my experience at Ladies of Lineage was getting to meet my dress designer, Suzanne Neville, and receiving a personal sketch from Suzanne that I will treasure forever.

Tell us about your wedding!

My wedding day vision was brought to life by my wonderful vendors! Throughout the planning process, I kept coming back to wanting vibrant spring colors, thoughtful touches that spoke to who Kevin and I are, and to ultimately create a joyful atmosphere for guests where they could feel the love from Kevin and me. I didn't stop smiling the whole day.

We spent the morning getting ready at Carmel Country Club listening to music and soaking in the time together - I cried tears of joy when Springvine delivered my bouquet to the bridal suite; it was better than I could have imagined. Our bridal party was made up of our siblings and closest friends. I gave my bridesmaids the freedom to select a dress of their choosing within a certain color palette - I wanted them to feel their best and to have color and patterns as a part of the day. Stepping into my gown with the help of my mom and sister felt like a dream come true. The guys and gals split up taking the trolley to our ceremony location - I will forever cherish the time with my bridesmaids on the trolley listening to music and being giddy with excitement to marry Kevin and for what the rest of the day had in store.

Our ceremony took place at St. Gabriel Catholic Church here in Charlotte, NC. My cousin is a priest (Father Paul) and he officiated our wedding Mass - St. Gabes holds a special place in my heart as this is the church where my parents were married in 1990 and where I attended elementary school. Following our ceremony, the full bridal party made our way back to Carmel for photos and to enjoy time together before cocktail hour kicked off with the rest of the guests.

It was an absolute dream to see the venue brought to life when we returned to Carmel from the church. From the linens, to the florals, to my cake that thoughtfully nodded to my dress applique, to the day of paper details - I was thrilled with how everything came together. I'll never forget the feeling of walking into the ballroom as husband and wife to our first dance song ("What is Life" by George Harrison) and feeding off of the joy coming from our guests. Dinner was followed by meaningful speeches, so much dancing, and having the time of our lives with the people we love the most. If I could relive 5.16.2026 everyday, I would!!!!
